Valentine Candy Box BOX FULL OF KISSES

Hi Crafters,
This Beautiful Box is the creation from "Create with Connie & Mary" Occasions Edition by Cristena Bagne.  You can click on there name and see there instructions which are a little different from mine.  They use 2 boxes to make this (makes it extra sturdy) and I use 1-12" x 12" sheet for my box.  I also use the Basic Grey super strong and thin magnets for my closure instead of hook and loop fasteners.
Either way, I think you will LOVE this Box!

1-12'X10" PC of Real Red CS
Score on the 10" side at 2" and 8"
Score on the 12" side at 21/2", 4 1/2",71/2" and 9 1/2"
Cut on short side score lines to 1st score line on longer side.  These will be the box sides.
On the 3" x 6" center you will measure 1/2" in all all 4 sides and cut out rectangle with exacto knife or scissors.  This is the top of the box where you will place your goodies.
1- 2 7/8" x 5 3/4" real read for bottom of box after lid is put on.
LID Pieces
Whisper White is 7 1/4"x5 3/4"
DSP Love Impressions is 7 1/4"x5 1/2"
Real Red is 7"x5"
Score all 3 of these at 1",3" and 6 1/8"
Use scallop trim border on the small side after the 6 1/8" score on all 3 pieces.
Adhere all 3 pieces together making the bottoms all even and the scallops graduating up.
Put sticky strip on 1" side (which attaches to bottom of box) and 2 strips between
the 1" and 3" score lines (attaches to back side of box)
Adhere 2 7/8"x 5 3/4" piece of Real Red over bottom of box for a clean look.
Now use your Bigz L Die "Fun Flowers" and make 1/2 of the flowers in one color and the other half in the red glimmer paper.  I used DPS Love Impressions for my flower and instead of the "Memories" Stamp I used the "XOXO" stamp set and versa mark ink and silver embossing powder to place the Hugs and Kisses stamp right onto the red glimmer paper!
Made my button from the itty bitty buttons sizzlet and used clear embossing powder on it several times to make it thick like a real button, (Didn't have any real ones big enough) put some glittery red thread through it and use a dimensional to adhere to front of box lid and used the micro mini super strong magnet sets for the closure.  You can decorate this box anyway you want but it's beautiful no matter how you do it and it holds lots and lots of candy kisses!!!
Hence the name: "BOX FULL OF KISSES"

1 - 11" x 4 1/4" Very Vanilla card stock folded in half
2 - Scalloped Circle Punches 2 3/8" and also the 1 3/4"
1 - Square Scalloped Punch 1 3/8"

Hi Crafters,

Here's a new video on Pop Up Top Boxes or All-in-One Box and Lid Combo. I know it has a name but I can't remember what it is now. I watched "The Carol Duvall Show" for many. many years and this is one of the projects she did. It seems to work much better these days with all the wonderful card stock and designer papers out there in craft land, although I love Stampin" Ups card stock and Designer Series Paper the best. I know, I know, I sell it but that's not just why I like it. I do my research and the weight of Stampin' Up Card stock and DSP is much better than the papers you find at the craft/hobby stores and I have used the paper from the craft stores for years until I found Stampin' Up!. Also, Stampin' Up card stock is dyed completely through so if you like to do the tearing technique, you get all color and no white core! I wouldn't be selling this product if I didn't believe what I'm saying, cuz the bottom line is I'm NOT A GOOD LIAR! You can see it on my face if I try to lie.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the latest video!

Weather or not?

Hi Crafters,
My Hubby and I went to Ohio for the weekend and hit that white-out blizzard in Lake City, TN We live in Oak Ridge and there was nothing and 25 miles later we were scared!!!!! We couldn't see to get off I 75 north cuz we couldn't see the exit and my hubby is a great driver and he was going about 20 to 25 mph trying to ge us out of it and then we hit Kentucky and hit more snow storms, then we realized the car was barely putting out heat and we were going just outside of Dayton and the winds were 30mph and we almost froze to death! I'm NOT a good traveler to begin with then we visited who we needed to see (very important)then went to the motel and it was supposed to be a handicapped room but was only handicapped equipped and the heater in the motel room wasn't working right! Needless to say we went to bed at 8pm got up early, didn't even take a shower, (tub way too small) got dressed and started back home, had to stop at Walmart and buy a blanket so we could keep warm until we hit warmer weather again and NOW it's Monday morning and we get up and we've got 4 inches of snow here! Went straight back to bed and said "Please Lord tell us when it's safe to get up again!" I realized I'm getting older but my muscles and bones hurt so bad from shivering that I feel 100 instead of 55! I can't remember ever feeling that cold in my entire life and even though I am now in TN (where my mom was born) I was born in Cleveland Ohio where it gets very cold! God was watching out for us like always but I guess he didn't think heat was all that important! It's makes you really think about not ever taking things for granted! We always seem to get by only by the grace of God and that's enough for us! The trip was important and if we had to do it again we would but I am also greatful that it's behind us for now! I would appreciate any prayers for my Sister-in-Law to help her get stronger and stay strong to get through her cancer treatments! She is such a good person and the only thing we can do for her is pray, so if y'all pray too I'd sure appreciate it!

Thank y'all for letting me rattle on, this is very good therapy to get things off your chest! Next post will be a video! Enjoy life.
